No information leak on Aarushi murder probe: CBI

Denying every speculation on whether Aarushi Talwar’s parents were out on the murder night, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday claimed that the reports of Talwars’ absence at home on the night of murders are entirely speculative.

Earlier, it was reported in a section of the media that the parents were not present in their home on the fateful night quoting CBI sources. However, the slain child’s mother Nupur Talwar denied the very fact by saying that “we are truly present in our home and we will file a complaint against the media house for those unnecessary sensational stories.”

The probe agency has also clarified that there was no such statement from any CBI officials and all are speculative in nature. Nupur Talwar had demanded an explanation from CBI as the reports were based on alleged revelation made by CBI officials.

It is to mention here that a television news channel had reported that parents of Aarushi were partying outside on the night of May 15.

Meanwhile throwing some light into the case, the CBI in a statement on Monday said that the investigation is still in progress. As of now, Talwar’s compounder Krishna and Raj Kumar, the servant of Durranis, were under the scanner though CBI is yet to give a clean chit to Aarushi’s father Dr. Rajesh Talwar.

The 14-year-old Aarushi was found dead in her Noida Jal Vayu Vihar residence on May 16, the police though initially claimed Talwar’s domestic help Hemraj as the prime accused but the entire case turned around after Hemraj’s body recovered on the very next day from terrace of the same house.

The Talwars put under suspicion and police gave it an angle of “honour killing” citing the relation between teenage Aarushi and Hemraj. Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar arrested for twin murders on May 23. After several lapses reported in the investigation, the case was transferred to the CBI on May 31; however, the probe is yet to establish any connection to the motive behind the murders.

The sensational incident has attracted nationwide attention with the suspected involvement of the child’s parents, but the fact of matter till date is that there is not a single piece of evidence has been uncovered against the parents.
