Ludhiana, Dec 31 (IANS) A farmer from this industrial city of Punjab Wednesday fell prey to a thief's prank and lost nearly Rs.1.3 million.
The farmer, Iqbal Singh Gill, and his son took out money from a bank on the Mall Road here. Gill sat in the car while his son went for some other work in the bank.
A youth walked up to Gill and told him that some of his money had fallen near the car.

As Gill got down from the car to pick up the notes of Rs.10 denomination, his bag containing the money went missing from the car.
The police later registered a case following Gill's complaint. The farmer had taken out the money to make some payments.
