Doris Day changes her name to Clara
London, July 7 (ANI): Fifties' film legend, Doris Day, has changed her name, and now wants to be called Clara.
"Doris now signs notes as Clara," the Daily Express quoted a source close to the 84-year-old star as saying.
"She made the switch to distance herself from her screen image," the source added.

The newspaper report has also revealed that the veteran actress spends her time trying to rescue animals these days, and feels like a different person.
It also says that Clara was a nickname that Doris was given by a former co-star Billy De Wolfe more than 50 years ago.
Wolfe was of the opinion that she looked more like a Clara than a Doris, the report adds.
The actress was named after her mother's favourite silent screen star, Doris Kenyon. (ANI)
