Posters for the contest have been stuck around the hospital featuring a logo based on the TV show's and the line, 'Show us your skills and talents.'
Participants must agree to the rules such as no swearing and: 'No arguing with the judges! The judges' decision is final.'
Criminals would 'have a go at murdering popular songs' and perhaps do some 'jail-break dancing'.
A spokesperson for Broadmoor said the competition was a way of getting patients to mingle.
"One of the risks for people with mental illnesses is that they go into themselves and do not mix with people. This competition is a way of getting them to go out and meet people," News of the World quoted him, as saying. (ANI)
