Wellington, July 7 (ANI): The viewers of a 'Grassroots Rugby' TV programme got more than they tuned in for when a segment of pornography appeared during a live broadcast.
Nearly four minutes of a porn segment, supposed to be screening on Sky TV's pay-per-view Spice channel, were screened on the free-to-air Prime Channel before order was restored and the rugby returned.
Rival Television Three reported how disgusted and shocked viewers were at the programming blunder, reports the NZPA.
Tony O'Brien, a spokesman for Prime Television blamed a mixup in 'distribution processes' for the error, which inserted the hardcore segment in the regular program.
He said that the porn would have screened in the Auckland region and also for Sky digital customers. (ANI)
