Sydney, July 7 (ANI): Former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne has made his mark at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the world's biggest poker tournament.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, after a nervous start initially, Warne went into aggressive mode and played an impressive game of poker on Sunday.

"In the first few minutes, I was a bit anxious. But I'm really enjoying it - the atmosphere is unreal. I've been running on adrenalin,'' said Warne, who made his debut among the 1158 players at the Rio Hotel and Casino on the tournament's second day.

"I was going really well after the first break - I had 25,000 dollar in chips - but then I lost one big hand of 10,000 dollars,'' The Sydney Morning Herald quoted him, as saying.

His luck turned 30-minutes later when he won a 29,000 dollar pot five hours into play.

The cricket legend has been relying on music from his iPod to keep his energy levels high.

About 9000 of the world's best players are competing in the tournament, which began on Friday (Australian time). (ANI)
