Kolkata, Dec 29 (IANS) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee Monday described the recent elections in Jammu and Kashmir as the 'victory of democracy over terrorism'.
'The people of Jammu and Kashmir have voted for democracy and against the forces of separatism and terrorism,' Mukherjee told newspersons here.
Mukherjee said it was not important which party won the elections or formed the government in the state. 'It's a victory of democracy. People have voted in large numbers in the polls.'
