London, Fri, 26 Dec 2008 ANI

London, Dec 26 (ANI): Cash-strapped Britons can look forward to dramatic reductions on the high street, for this year's post-Christmas sales are expected to be the 'biggest in history'.

Shoppers will be in retail heaven from Boxing Day as stores lure customers with incredible deals.

Experts are predicting that prices will be slashed by up to 70 per cent.

"We're fully expecting this year's post-Christmas sales to be the biggest in our history," the Daily Express quoted a spokesman from the Trafford Centre in Manchester, which expects 140,000 visitors on Boxing Day, as telling Express.co.uk.

"It's clear that there is a lot of unsold autumn stock out there which retailers must shift to make way for new spring merchandise.

"That's great news for consumers - who can expect even bigger bargains than last year."We're expecting dramatic reductions, especially on ladies' fashions, where many stores will be selling goods at less than half price," he added. (ANI)
