Tibetans-in exile gather in New Delhi to mark 73 rd birthday of Dalai Lama
New Delhi, July 6 (ANI): Tibetans-in-exile gathered here today to mark the occasion of the 73rd birthday of their spiritual leader the Dalai Lama and prayed for his long life and good health.
"Today we are celebrating the 73rd birthday of our religious leader the Dalai Lama and all the Tibetans of Delhi have gathered here to mark this occasion.

We have taken a pledge that till the time our homeland is freed, we will continue our struggle for freedom under the guidance of the Dalai Lama," said Sanjay Tenzin.
The Dalai Lama was born on July 6, 1935 in a hamlet at Takster in Tibet.
He has been living in Dharamsala with thousands of his followers since1959.
About 134,000 Tibetans live in exile in India and Nepal, and of them less than half were born in their homeland. (ANI)
