England team leaves for Dubai
Chandigarh, Dec 23 (IANS) The England Test squad left here Tuesday night on a chartered plane for Dubai from where the team will board a direct flight to England.
'The England team has boarded a chartered flight. The team members wanted to reach England as early as possible so that they can comfortably celebrate Christmas with their families,' Sushil Kapoor, coordinator of the England team, told IANS.
They boarded the flight at 9.30 p.m. from Chandigarh airport.
'Some of the Indian players have also left Chandigarh in their own private vehicles while the rest of the team will leave Wednesday,' said Kapoor.
The England team reached Chandigarh Dec 16 to play the second Test of the RBS Cup against India at Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium in Mohali. The Test match was badly affected by poor weather and ended in a draw.
