Kasab's letter handed over to Pakistan High Commission
New Delhi, Dec 23 (ANI): India's Foreign Ministry handed over a letter written by Mohammed Ajmal Amir alias Kasab, the lone terrorist caught alive for carrying out the Mumbai terror attacks, to the Pakistan High Commission last evening in New Delhi.
Pakistan's Acting High Commissioner was called to the External Affairsinistry and handed over the letter written by Kasab.
In the letter addressed to the Pakistan High Commission, Kasab has stated that he and the other terrorists killed in the attack were from Pakistan and has sought a meeting with the Pakistan High Commission, the spokesman added.
"The Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan was called to the External Affairs Ministry and handed over the letter written by the Pakistani National in our custody Mohammed Ajmal, Mohammed Amin Kasab who was involved in the terrorist attack on Mumbai on November 26 to 28. In his letter addressed to Pakistan High Commission, Kasab has stated that he and other terrorists killed in the attack were from Pakistan," said Vishnu Prakash, a spokesman of Indian Foreign Ministry.
Pakistan has denied that Kasab is its national.
However, former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has confirmed thatasab is a Pakistani national.
Kasab is the lone terrorist caught alive by the security forces during Mumbai terror attacks. He s under police remand till December 24.
He was one of the ten terrorists who struck two luxury hotels and other landmarks across Mumbai on November 26. (ANI)
