Protestors injured during Kashmir separatist march in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 4 (ANI): Scores of protestors were injured on Friday after Hurriyat Conference leaders tried to take out a peace rally from the historical Jamia Masjid in Srinagar's downtown area to the famous Hazratbal shrine.
Senior Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah was also among those injured in the police action.

Two senior Hurriyat Conference leaders-- Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Omer Farooq were placed under house arrest.
As the news of Shah being injured spread, violent clashes erupted across Srinagar. Several youths came out on to the streets and threw stones on the police, prompting retaliatory action.
Shah is said to be stable now. By Parvez Butt (ANI)
