India calls off cricket tour to Pakistan

New Delhi, Dec 18 (IANS) India Thursday called off the cricket team's tour to Pakistan on account of the recent developments in Mumbai, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) spokesman Rajeev Shukla said here.

 

According to government sources, Minister for External Affairs Pranab Mukherjee and Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs M.S. Gill had spoken to BCCI President Shashank Manohar to convey their decision.

 

 

The Indian team was scheduled to play three Tests and five one-day internationals and one Twenty20 beginning next month.
