Bus to promote Madhya Pradesh tourist sites

Bhopal, Dec 18 (IANS) The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corp has designed an exhibition bus that will travel within and outside the state to promote tourist spots in the state.

'The bus is equipped with printed material, LCD projector and exhibition panels. It will tour within and outside the state to attract domestic tourists to Madhya Pradesh,' said the Corporation Chairman Dhruv Narain Singh.

'It also has arrangements for lectures on tourism-related subjects and screening of films, and an air-conditioned lounge where people may gather and discuss tourist places,' he said.

The bus will first travel to Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and also visit fair and festival sites.

Dedicating the mobile exhibition bus to the people, the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Wednesday said that all effort would be made to boost tourism in the state.

'The efforts to promote tourism in the last five years have been fruitful and our endeavour to ensure that Madhya Pradesh emerges prominently on the world tourism map will continue,' he added.

Chouhan said efforts are also being made to augment employment opportunities in the tourism sector.
