London, Dec 18 (DPA) A company for ecological design in Britain has produced an edible Christmas card made from potato starch paper and featuring a picture of Brussels sprouts.
The design was part of an effort to reduce the environmental impact of the festive season, Steve Lodge, managing director of green graphic design agency Oxygen Creative, said Wednesday.
'Our card is printed on paper made from potato starch, the ink we use is edible and we have even signed the cards in edible ink with a special pen,' he said.
The company sends out a few hundred of the cards to customers each year. 'Anyone who doesn't want to keep the card can simply eat it,' said Lodge.
