New Delhi, Dec.17 (ANI): The American Centers of India are inviting talented individuals across the country to create a logo that will be displayed across the full range of American Center activities - burnishing their brand in India and helping strengthen India - U.S. ties.

The winning designer, if eligible for a U.S. visa, will receive a 10-day fellowship in the United States to visit some of America's top creative institutions, a US embassy release said.

The competition is open to all Indian nationals age 18 and over, and all submissions must be the original work of the designer. All designs must be received by January 15, 2009.

Michael Macy, Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, calls it "an amazing opportunity for graphic designers to have their work seen. We want this new logo to symbolize the dynamic interaction between our two great nations as we continue to learn about each other."

The winning design will be selected on January 23, 2009 and the winner announced at an Awards Ceremony at the American Center, New Delhi on January 30th. (ANI)
