Newly elected legislator faces murder charge

Bhopal, Dec 16 (IANS) Rakesh Shukla, a newly elected legislator from Bhind, is named in a murder case, the Madhya Pradesh police said Tuesday.

 

'Ram Khiladi Gurjar, a property dealer and history-sheeter, was shot dead Monday night in the Gwalior University area by unidentified elements. We have registered a case of murder against Rakesh Shukla and 10 others on the basis of a complaint made by the family members of the deceased,' Gwalior Police Superintendent V.K. Suryavanshi said.

 

 

Khiladi and Shukla had an old enmity following a land dispute, police said.
