Mumbai, Dec 15 (IANS) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Rs.20 million for the families of security personnel who lost their lives in last month's Mumbai terror attacks.
'The BCCI has announced a contribution of Rs.20 million for the families of the heroes -- Police, NSG and Naval Commandos, Firemen - who sacrificed their lives while fighting the terrorists in Mumbai,' BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan said in a statement.
The board will also give an additional Rs.10 million to the police personnel, commandos and firemen, who sustained injuries in the operations.
