5 suspected LI militants arrested in Lahore

Lahore, July 4 (ANI): Pakistan law enforcement agencies claimed to have arrested five suspected militants, belonging to the Lashkar-e-Islam (LI), while plotting suicide attacks in Lahore.
The suspected militants were arrested from an apartment at Akbar Chowk located in the Township locality of the Punjab province capital.
The suspects were seized with suicide-bomb jackets, explosives, weapons and two vans in a raid, reported the Daily Times.
According to the paper, officials of the two main intelligence agencies said that the arrested men belonged to the Lashkar-e-Islam (LI).
LI, however, denied that the suspected militants were its members. (ANI)
