Chandigarh guesthouse manager stabbed to death
Chandigarh, Dec 13 (IANS) The manager of a guesthouse here was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants early Saturday, the police said.
'Deepak Pandey, 28, was working in Himachal Guesthouse in Manimajra town in Chandigarh. In the early hours Saturday he reached the guesthouse with multiple wounds and blood all over his body,' Hari Kumar, investigating officer of the case told IANS.
Madan Singh, who works as a cook at the guesthouse and one of the eyewitness said: 'Pandey was saying that four-five people had attacked him near the guesthouse. He was crying in pain and was requesting us to save his life.'
'Police got this information at around 3 a.m. Saturday. He was immediately taken to the hospital where he died after struggling for life for more than three hours,' Kumar said.
Pandey, a native of Uttarakhand was unmarried and stayed at the premises of the guesthouse.
