Arjun Singh to inaugurate new premises of National Book Trust

New Delhi, Dec 12 (ANI): Union Minister of Human Resource Development Arjun Singh will inaugurate the 'Nehru Bhawan', the new office premises of the National Book Trust (NBT) here today.

 

Nine titles in various Indian languages and one title each in the English and the Nepali language under the Golden Jubilee Anthologies series will also be released on the occasion. So far, thirty-two books under the Golden Jubilee Anthologies series in several Indian languages have been published by the NBT.

 

NBT in collaboration with All India Conference of the Blind (AICB) has been publishing titles in Braille versions of its publications in Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Gujarati languages for visually handicapped readers in the country.

 

Four titles in Braille versions Senapati Bapat (Marathi), Zakir Sahab Ki Kahani (Hindi), Panchatantra (English), Ulagam Kulairthaiyaga Iruntha Pothu (Tamil) will also be released on the occasion. The trust has published 170 titles for visually handicapped readers in the said languages. (ANI)
