London, July 2 (ANI): Prince William has been involved in a 40 million pounds cocaine bust during his first week of operations with the Royal Navy, reports the Ministry of Defence.

HMS Iron Duke intercepted a speedboat in the north Atlantic, hundreds of miles northeast of Barbados, on June 28.

US Coast Guard officials on the British frigate boarded the vessel and found 45 bales of cocaine weighing a total of 900kg, reports The Sun.

William is spending time on the warship as part of a two-month secondment to the Navy.

The training is aimed at preparing him for his future role as head of the armed forces. (ANI)
