Electric shock therapy helped Carrie Fisher beat the blues
Washington,

Washington, Dec 11 (ANI): American actress Carrie Fisher has revealed that she had to undergo drastic electric shock therapy to cope up with depression.
After years of battling with alcohol and drug addiction, the 52-year-old star suffered severe bouts of depression that no course of medicine could cure.
"I didn't want to do it for years. They wanted me to do it before, because I was in a depression, which was medication proof," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"You don't have a convulsion anymore, so it should just be called electro therapy. But it worked so well, I highly recommend it, even if you don't need it!" she added. (ANI)
