Police seize 20 kg heroin in Jodhpur

Jodhpur, Dec 11 (ANI): Police arrested three Tanzanian citizens and seized 20 kg of heroin worth rupees 300 million in the international market from their possession in Jodhpur.

 

Acting on a tip off, the police squad nabbed them. They were identified as Adam Goodwin, Adam Mohammed and Umar Yousaf.

 

The Tanzanians after receiving the heroin were about to leave for Jaipur during the time of arrest, police said.

 

"Police have arrested three Tanzanian citizens who are involved in the trafficking of drugs. They are notorious drug traffickers who were involved in these activities for a long time. Our police team in an operation led by sub inspector Loon Singh has arrested them," said Girij Meena, Superintendent of Police, Jodhpur.

 

Police also recovered 3000 US dollars and Indian notes worth rupees 13,080.

 

The police suspected that the heroin was brought to Jodhpur from Pakistan and was supposed to be taken to Africa via Delhi. (ANI)
