Elegance meets rustic earthiness in Dhanjal's collection
New Delhi, Dec 10 (IANS) Taking inspiration from the earthy tones of nature, designer Priyanjali Dhanjal has unveiled her autumn/winter collection that has a rustic feel to it and elegantly blends nature's earthiness with an understated look.
'The look is understated and not heavily embroidered. The ensembles have a rustic feel, making them perfect for this winter season,' Dhanjal told IANS after showcasing the collection.

'I have used a lot of motifs, surface texturing, layering and bright colors as winter is all about colours and nature has been my inspiration for this line,' she added.
The color palette veers to deeper shades like burgundy, forest greens, rusty reds, mud browns and copper with intricate embroidered flower tracings onto yokes and layered textures on the dresses.
The line has quilted jackets, structured dresses and textured tops that are more of fusion wear.
Elaborating on this, Dhanjal said: 'I love doing fusion wear as it is my signature style. Every ensemble of mine either has a western element in an Indian silhouette or an Indian element in a western silhouette, but the bottom line is that it should be wearable.'
The collection starts at Rs.5,000 and goes up to Rs.18,000.
