'The Simpsons' lead 2009 Writers Guild TV nominees
London, Dec 10 (ANI): Television's longest running comedy, The Simpsons the most nominated show for the 2009 Writers Guild of America (WGA) awards
The animated series has five nominations for the prestigious awards, with its first-ever inclusion in the best comedy series category.
The comedy was one of five nominees for best comedy series, along with 'Entourage', 'Weeds' and previous winners '30 Rock' and 'The Office'.

Four episodes of The Simpsons, which has been running for 19 series, were also nominated separately in the best animation category.
The WGA awards will be given out on February 7 at a ceremony in Los Angeles, reports BBC.
Comedy 30 Rock, starring Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey, was the second most nominated show with four nods in all, including three for best comedy episode.
