1980s' band Blur to reunite after nine years
London, Dec 9 (IANS) All four members of the 1980s' popular English rock band Blur are set to reunite and perform together after nine years at a concert in Hyde Park here next summer.
The full line-up, including Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree, will take to the stage in July for their first performance since 2000, reported contactmusic.com.
'It just felt it was right again,' said Albarn, who plays the guitar and keyboard, apart from being the band's lead vocalist.
'It somehow feels like there's something for us to do again, we're not completely useless or pointless, we've got a reason to exist,' he added.
Lead guitarist and vocalist Coxon quit the band in 2002 but he and Albarn have put their differences behind them to confirm the summer concert.
Albarn added that the band were certain to announce more reunion shows for next year.
'Making of greatest album of the 1980s' to become a movie .
