Lucknow, Dec 8 (IANS) The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is buoyed by the trends in the assembly elections pouring in Monday from various states.

'The results clearly indicate the party (BSP) has widened its base in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Rajasthan,' senior BSP leader Swamy Prasad Maurya told reporters here Monday.

Referring to the trends emerging in the assembly elections, Maurya said: 'Although BSP is doing good in the assembly elections, the party has fared well particularly in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.'

The BSP's performance in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan has set alarm bells ringing in the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he added.
