BJP ahead of Congress in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Dec 8 (IANS) The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was Monday ahead of the Congress in the race for power in Madhya Pradesh as officials counted votes cast Nov 27.

The BJP was leading in 64 of the 231 constituencies and the Congress in 36, officials said. Independents were ahead in two places.
