New Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a country-wide campaign Dec 10 to raise public awareness about terrorism and pay homage to the victims of the Mumbai attacks.
A statement issued by BJP general secretary Ananth Kumar here Saturday said that during the week-long campaign, on the slogan 'Remove terrorism, Save the country, the party would create awareness about the issue through processions and rallies.
Meetings will also be organised to pay homage to those killed in the three-day-long Mumbai terror drama from Nov 26 that left 172 dead.
The awareness was necessary in view of the unprecedented public outrage against political parties after the terrorist attack.
The party also demanded a White Paper from the central government on the number of terrorist attacks on the country during the Congress-led alliance's rule since May 2004.
'We demand a White Paper on what actions have been taken after those attacks. It should have details of the number of people arrested and convicted,' BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy told reporters here.
