Ahmedabad blasts suspect handed to Gujarat police
Ahmedabad, Dec 5 (IANS) An activist of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), allegedly involved in the July 26 serial blasts in this city which included an attack on a hospital, was Friday handed over to the Gujarat police for interrogation.
The crime branch brought Qayamuddin Kapadia to the court of Judge G.

Kapadia is one of the main accused in July 26 blasts in the city and was allegedly involved in the attack on the civil hospital, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) R.V. Ansari told IANS.
A car laden with bombs and four gas cylinders was blown up outside the hospital, killing 23 people, out of the total toll of 57 in the attacks.
Kapadia, who was arrested in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh Nov 10, was brought to Gujarat by the state police after permission from a local court in Ujjain.
Associated with the Indian Mujahideen, Kapadia was also questioned by Delhi Police who suspected his involvement in the Sept 13 serial blasts in the national capital.
