Spencer Pratt scraps Christmas plans with in-laws after derogatory remarks

Washington, Dec 5 (ANI): Reality television star Spencer Pratt has revealed that he has scrapped plans of joining his new mother-in-law for Christmas after the derogatory comments she made about him.

Pratt, who had eloped to Mexico with his long-time partner and 'The Hills' co-star Heidi Montag in November, was hurt by the comments Darlene Egelhoff had made about the last-minute nuptials.

Egelhoff had told Us Weekly magazine that Pratt had drugged her daughter and that the marriage is "the biggest mistake Heidi ever made", adding that it would not last six months.

Pratt was very furious with the accusations hurled his way and phoned in to Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest's show on December 4 to fire back at his new mum-in-law.

"I can't wait to prove her wrong and be married for the rest of our lives... I'm sure she's just hurt and reacting crazy because she wasn't there," Contactmusic quoted him as having said on the show.

"I think she thinks she's being funny and, like, playing into her character (on The Hills) - that she hates me," he said.

Pratt admitted he confronted Egelhoff on December 3 while they were filming an episode of The Hills.

"(It) was pretty much the most insane day of my entire life," he added. (ANI)
