Imran warns England from travelling to India
Karachi, Dec 3 (IANS) Pakistan cricket legend Imran Khan has advised England against travelling to India for a two-match Test series in the wake of last week's Mumbai killings, pointing out that Westerners especially Britons were the prime targets of the terrorists.
A Pakistani Urdu daily quoted the former Pakistan captain as saying Wednesday that the English cricketers should take extreme caution in deciding whether to return to India following the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
England cut short its tour of India last month after terrorists attacked several places in Mumbai, killing almost 200 people. England did not play the last two one-dayers against India and is now yet to take a final decision on whether to return to India to play two Tests.
The England Cricket Board (ECB) is to present safety and security findings to its players today, leaving the decision to return to India in their court.
In a bid to allay England fears India has switched the Test venues with Chennai now hosting the first Test Dec 11 and Mohali staging the second from Dec 19.
