Islamabad, June 30 (ANI): The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has said that peace in Pakistan's Northern Areas will be maintained at all costs.
Reacting to reports of recent disturbances in the region, especially along the Karakoram Highway and in the border town of Sost, PPP spokesman Farhatullah Babar said that the Cabinet Minister for Kashmir Affairs and the Northern Areas has issued instructions to the local authorities to maintain peace and stability at all costs.
Babar was particularly critical of the role played by the local Ghazanfar Group in the disturbances, and warned that such tactics would be quelled with an iron hand by the federal and provincial adminsitrations. (ANI)
