'Men turned on by my tough image': Lucy Liu

London, Jun 30 (ANI): American actress Lucy Liu feels that her scary screen persona is a turn on for men and that they are far from put off by her tough image.

Liu's role as the ass-kicking babe Alex Munday in Charlie's Angels went on to the role of steely lawyer Ling Woo in Ally McBeal, and recently the actress has been playing as the deadly Viper in Kung Fu Panda.

"They're kind of into it," the Sun quoted her as saying.

"They're kind of excited by someone who is very strong and it's a nice change.

"I think they find my fierceness on screen kinds sexy. Maybe it's too much for some of them. I can't speak for men," she said.

Kung Fu Panda sees fat and lazy dreamer Po (voiced by Jack Black) chosen, as the Dragon Warrior who, according to an ancient prophesy, will rid the valley of an evil threat.

Lucy stars as Viper, one of the legendary Furious Five who have been trained by Kung Fu master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman) and who see Po as a hopeless case who will do more harm than good.

The 39-year-old actress, who does mostly active roles on screen, admits that off screen she keeps her figure by practicing the deadly arts herself, although she admits she's no lethal weapon.

"I'm a no belt!" she said.

"If you believe the films I've done I'm a ballistic specialist, a black belt in Kung Fu and a Samarai. I'll take that!"

"I only practice (martial arts) when I have to do action movies. Otherwise I do Pilates.

"Martial Arts can be very tough and it requires a lot of work and attention. Since I travel so much it's quite hard to keep up with it," she added. (ANI)
