FBI, Scotland Yard teams visit terror attack sites in Mumbai
Mumbai, Dec 1 (IANS) Sleuths of the US' Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Britain's Scotland Yard Monday visited the Taj Mahal and the Oberoi Trident hotels and other sites hit by the terrorist strikes in Mumbai for an assessment of the havoc, officials said.
The two teams were taken around the sites that were targeted by the terrorists last Wednesday, an official told IANS Monday.
During the day, they also held separate meetings with Director-General of Police (DGP) A.N. Roy, State Investigation Department Commissioner D. Shivanandan, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) head K.P. Raghuvanshi, Joint Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria and other concerned officials.
However, several attempts to contact the officials proved futile and they chose to remain tight-lipped about the discussions with the visiting investigators.
At least 183 people were killed, including 22 foreigners, in the terror strike.
