Asia, Sun, 30 Nov 2008 IANS

Beijing, Nov 30 (Xinhua) Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi have condemned the Mumbai terror attacks.

During a telephonic talk Saturday, the two ministers described 'as heinous' the Mumbai terror that killed 183 people and injured more than 300.

Yang said China was against all forms of terrorism and hoped that Pakistan and India would take forward their bilateral peace process and ties to new heights.

'These are in the fundamental interests of both Pakistan and India and important for peace and stability of the region,' Yang told the Pakistani minister.

Qureshi told the Chinese minister that Pakistan extended deep sympathy to the Mumbai victims' families and was ready to offer all assistance to India.
