July 12: The director duo Abbas-Mustan’s “Naqaab” is going to release tomorrow (July 13) i.e. believed to be the most shocking thriller of the year 2007. The films music has already topped the chart list with some melodious track by Pritam.
Abbas-Mustan considered as the most successful thriller director in Bollywood with hits like Khiladi, Baazigar, Badshah, Ajnabee, 36 China Town and Humraaj. The last thriller Humraaj was a huge hit with star caste like Akshaye Khanna, Bobby Deol and Amisha Patel. Naqaab repeats the same two heroes as lead character along with newcomer Urvashi Sharma.
Though the star caste is a bit same but the story plot is totally different from Humraaz as the director duo promise.
Meanwhile, we have not much information about the story line but reportedly the story is based on three characters in which the girl is committed to marry a rich boy but falls in love with another man. However, all three characters have something fishy about their past that acts as a mask and hence the name of the film came as ‘Naqaab’.
Produced under the banner of Tips Films the film has already acquired a record breaking advance booking in most cities. With good promotion and soothing music and good lyrics the film is believe to be open with a good response.
According to the director in a TV interview, they prefer to choose a new comer in the female lead to make it more story-oriented as the plot demands. Despite an adventurous topic the movie has some nice tracks with the combination of Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Music director Pritam and lyricist Sameer. One can expect good music from Abbas-Mustan’s film as they have continuously provided good music.
In the coming Abbas-Mustan flick there are some other films lined up including Race and Mr. Fraud. Rumors are also to make the sequel of Baazigar and Khiladi. Producer Ramesh Taurani is confident of the success of the movie. The film’s heroin has also signed an eight film contract with Tips and this also proves that the newcomer is pretty as well a talented actress. But let’s wait for the release of the film in silver screen and hope for a perfect suspense thriller.
