Carrie Fisher says her parents landed her in embarrassing run-ins
London, Nov 26 (ANI): 'Star Wars' star Carrie Fisher has revealed that she had a number of embarrassing run-ins with her parents when she was younger.
Fisher, 52, who had spoken out publicly of her long-running battle with a variety of addictions, revealed that her family called in their celebrity friends to help in her battle with drugs.
She also revealed an episode in which her father was so sure she was taking narcotics that he convinced the late Cary Grant to give her some advice.The actress revealed in her new book 'Wishful Drinking' that it was the most humiliating experience ever.
In another incident, Fisher's mother, Debbie Reynolds, who was always worried about her, got her friend actress Ava Gardner to check on her, as she was not answering the phone.
"She called Ava Gardner, and she asks Ava to come to my hotel and get the concierge to let her into my room to make sure I'm not dead," the Daily Express quoted Fisher as saying. (ANI)
