Forest officer injured in jumbo attack in West Bengal
Kolkata, Nov 24 (IANS) A forest officer was critically injured Monday after a wild elephant attacked him in Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal, officials said. Three men have died and one injured in jumbo attacks in the region during the past week.

m. Monday when a wild elephant attacked West Bengal Forest Development Corporation employee Shambhu Pradhan,' Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sailesh Anand told reporters.
'The elephant picked him up with its trunk and thrashed him on the ground,' Anand added.
'Pradhan has been admitted to the hospital where his condition is stated to be critical,' he said.
According to district sources, three men have died and two, including Pradhan, injured in jumbo attacks in the last seven days in the district.
