Kalam backs Indo-US Nuke deal
Bangalore, June 26 (ANI): The former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on Thursday said the nuclear deal with the U.S. will prove beneficial to India.
Kalam was talking to the media at the sidelines of a conference on International Aero Space in here today he said that it was crucial for India to sign the deal with the US.
"Until the time that our scientists produce thorium-based nuclear reactors from our thorium deposits which are second largest in the world, we will require uranium to sustain our energy requirements for which the deal will be important to us," he said.
