Attock (Pakistan), Nov 19 (ANI): The Pakistan unit of the Taliban, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has reportedly warned the hotels and guesthouses situated in the town to stop "prostitution", else face dire consequences.
They said the 'illegal activities' must be stopped within a week.
The TTP pamphlets warned that the hotels would be destroyed if their administrations did not halt 'prostitution in the garb of providing service to the visitors', reported the Daily Times.
Situated at the border of Punjab and NWFP, Attock Khurd is a scenic and historic place, often a popular choice for visitors.
The Taliban's 'first and the last' warning said violators would be punished, even if it entailed laying down the Taliban's lives. Following the warning, the police have increased security in and around the area, added the paper.
The TTP warning would hamper tourism not only in Attock Khurd but in adjoining areas of the NWFP as well, the paper quoted as saying. (ANI)
