New Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS) Bharti Telesoft, part of the Bharati group, has tied up with Telecom Italia Sparkle (TIS) to offer a new service that will enable prepaid users to recharge their accounts while roaming on a third party operator's network.
The prepaid roaming hub value-added solution also provides an international airtime transfer service, which enables migrant workers to top up the talk time of friends and family back home, a company statement said here Tuesday.
The airtime transfer service would be helpful for around 200 million migrant workers worldwide.
Stefano Mazzitelli, chief Executive of TIS, the international business development arm of Telecom Italia, said: "We are excited to cooperate with Bharti Telesoft on the introduction of the prepaid roaming hub solution as it demonstrates our commitment to improving the competitiveness of our mobile operator customers."
Added Bharti Telesoft Chief executive Mao Mohapatra: "With the majority of new mobile subscribers opting for prepaid services, the demand for prepaid roaming recharge is vast - and largely untapped.
