The broad tracks in the Sepang circuit will add to the excitement with a lot of scope for drivers to overtake and pass. Sepang also happens to be one of Narains favourite racing tracks.
Team India driver Narain Karthikeyan said, “After achieving the start that we were aiming for in Chengdu, I am looking forward to much better results in the upcoming race with the advantage of having tested and driven the new powered by Ferrari car," he added, "Having driven several times at the Sepang International Circuit in the past, this will be an added advantage for me. The aim is to achieve a more consistent performance and we will strive towards having a top six finish".
A thrilling start to the season has seen four different nations take victory from the four races so far. With the history books showing that every A1GP champion has won the Malaysian Feature race in the year he was crowned, the excitement looks sure to continue at the Sepang International Circuit.
The A1GP Sepang, Malaysia event runs from November 21 – 23, kicking off with the rookie driver and developing nations' sessions on Friday from 10.45 to 11.15 and again from 11.35 to 12.05. All teams can take part in the later practice session from 14.00 to 15.00. Final practice and qualifying for the Sprint and Feature races will take place on Saturday with the two races scheduled to run on Sunday at 11.00 and 15.00 respectively.
The race weekend will begin on an interesting note with Team India's lead driver getting up close and personal with the Malaysian elephants at the Kuala Gandah Elephant Orphanage as part of A1GPs initiative to participate in local cultural and philanthropic activities across the countries where the championship is hosted.
