Another bank robbed - motorcyclists flee with Rs.1.7 mn

New Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS) In another daring daylight heist, three men on a motorcyle Tuesday fled with Rs.1.7 million after firing at a guard sitting inside a bank's security van as it was passing through south Delhi's Satya Niketan.

 

The incident, a day after robbers looted Rs.2.4 million from a bank in Samaypur Badli on the outskirts of the city, took place at 11 a.m., police said.

 

 

"Three unidentified men came on motorcycles and fired at the security van. One bullet hit the security guard sitting inside the van," the official said.

 

 

On Monday, four unidentified men robbed the State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur bank at gunpoint and fled with Rs.2.4 million.
