Vice President condoles Banatwala death
New Delhi, June 26 (ANI): Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari has deeply condoled the death of G.M. Banatwala, President of Indian Union Muslim League and former Member of Parliament.
"I am deeply grieved to learn about the sad demise of Banatwala. He had a glorious record of service to the country and the people during his many years in public life. He always championed the cause of the poor and the downtrodden. He undertook important policy initiatives for the welfare of the people and earned their admiration for his dedication, sense of public service and honesty," said Ansari.
He further added that in his death, the country has lost a prominent personality who was always sensitive to the social concerns of our times.
Ansari said my heart felt condolences to the member of the bereaved family and the wide circle of his admirers and friends. May Almighty grant them the strength to withstand this tragedy. (ANI)
