Washington, Nov 16 (ANI): American R and B/pop singer songwriter Justin Timberlake has been sued by an ex-employee who claims that he has not been getting his rightful salary.
Felipe Ramales, 26, had been working as a busboy at Southern Hospitality BBQ and Bar in Manhattan, which is co-owned by the pop star, buddy Trace Ayala and a couple others, E! Online reports.
In the lawsuit, Ramales claimed that he wasn't paid a living wage during the year he spent working there.
In the lawsuit, which was filed on November 14 in New York, Ramales alleged that he and some fellow employees were not given their rightful share of automatic gratuity charges that were applied to tables of six or more.
The plaintiff further claimed that he regularly worked more than 40 hours a week and received no overtime pay.
Even though Ramales' grievances are plentiful, a Southern Hospitality rep says that they're baseless, as well, with restaurant manager Chris Russell saying that staffers took home every bit of their tips and that employee salaries were well over minimum wage.
Reps for Timberlake or his partners have yet to respond to the suit. (ANI)
