Christina Aguilera backs gay marriage
Washington, November 15 (ANI): Christina Aguilera is the latest celebrity to raise her voice against the ban on gay marriages.
Following the footsteps of Ellen DeGeneres, Brad Pitt, Josh Brolin, the stunner has insisted upon equal rights and freedom to marry for gay couples.
The singer spoke against the Proposition 8 bill, which had sought to make the same-sex marriages constitutionally illegal in California at the elections earlier this month, and had been voted into instigation by majority of conservative people.

"They're (gay couples) constantly pushing to be heard and given equal rights. I think there's a lot of unfairness that goes along with being gay, so the more I can do to give them a voice, then I'll do so," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.
"Marriage should be about two people celebrating their love for each other. It shouldn't have anything to do with someone's sexual preference," she added.
The 'Beautiful' hit maker further praised Europeans for their open-mindedness on the issue adding: "Europe is a lot more open when it comes to sexuality. I think with that the history of European culture, there is a lot more openness to being provocative." (ANI)
