In this regard, the management had again called on a meeting with the Resident Doctors’ Association on Wednesday.
The shutdown for the third day badly affected the service as Casualty, OPDs, were shutdown. However, as per latest report the doctors have underway an equivalent OPD without any hospitals assistance to admit new patients and to somehow facilitate the medical service.
The doctors are pointing to the management in the absence of adequate facilities, which according to them is the sole cause of the incident and suffering of the patients. They are demanding better security and facility in the premises of the hospital.
The Tuesday meeting between the administration and doctors couldn’t bring any result as the management is unwilling to make any immediate changes. However, the hospital superintendent Dr Swaraj Batra has again appealed the doctors to bring normalcy into the service.
In fact, this is not the first time that the doctors are at loggerheads with the administration. Doctors since a long a time are blaming the Delhi Government and the hospital authorities for poor security, lack of medical infrastructure but that was overlooked.
“We have been facing the anger of patients due to lack of medical facilities, and poor working condition and we want the hospital to ensure adequate security and infrastructure, but the authority is yet to take any concrete move despite repeated demand,” said a doctor.
