Yojana available on net too

Published by the Publication Division of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Yojana, a premier monthly, carries the message of socio-economic development to the people is now available on line. The government on Monday launched its website www.yojana.gov.in viewing the growing number of young internet users.

Published in 12 Indian languages, the publication is one of the best sources of meaningful discussion on socio-economic issues and government developmental policies as a whole. Yojana is published in Bengali, Tamil, Assamese, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, Urdu, Kannada, Punjabi and Oriya. Now its entire language edition can be accessed from through a click on its website.

Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Smt. Asha Swarup on the website launching occasion said that catering the needs of society, especially youths and students through its rich contents, Yojana has made its mark. Young readers are very friendly with the internet hence availability on the net would make it more popular, she added.

Now onwards, students of different fields, research scholars who for years follow it as a basic and most informative material for their competitive exams including central and state level civil services, banking and insurance or even any other, would find it easily accessible with the availability of its online edition on the aforesaid website.

Yojana is also working on digitisation of its entire archives spanning to 51 years of glorious publication. After completion of the digitisation process, almost entire story of independent India’s economic resurgence, beginning from foundation stone-laying to its growing into a sound economy, capable to withstand any global economic upheaval, will be at the fingertips of users/readers.
